What capacities of lithium battery does SMSBESS offer for home energy storage?

SMSBESS manufactures LiFePO4 lithium battery packs in 5kWh, 10kWh, 15kWh, 16kWh, 20kWh and 30kWh capacities for home energy storage. All variants share the same 51.2V LiFePO4 battery architecture and 8000-cycle A-grade cells, so you can mix capacities in parallel up to 16 units (480 kWh max). The 15kWh / 16kWh / 20kWh sizes are our best-selling residential energy storage battery configurations in EU and AU markets.

What is the difference between 48V and 51.2V LiFePO4 battery?

"48V LiFePO4 battery" is the industry shorthand. The actual nominal voltage of a 16-cell LiFePO4 battery string is 51.2V (16 × 3.2V). Inverters labelled "48V" all accept the 51.2V LiFePO4 battery range (44V–58.4V), so a 51.2V LiFePO4 battery is fully compatible with any 48V solar hybrid inverter on the market — Deye, Growatt, Victron, SMA, Sungrow, EG4 and others.

How big a 15kWh lithium battery do I need for my home?

A 15kWh lithium battery covers roughly 1–1.5 days of typical residential consumption (10–15 kWh/day) for a 3-bedroom home running essential loads (lights, fridge, router, TV, AC compressor cycling). For full-home off-grid backup or larger AC loads, scale up to a 20kWh or 30kWh lithium battery. Our standing battery line ships pre-wired and parallels in 10 minutes — no electrician for the battery side itself.
